ABOUT

Na Bonsai moves between the familiar and the unexpected, weaving jazz, soul, electronic music, and experimental sound into a world entirely her own. A Detroit-based musician, composer, and sonic explorer, her work draws on improvisation, Black musical traditions, and a fascination with the emotional possibilities of sound. Whether behind the guitar, immersed in synthesis, or building compositions from unconventional textures, she approaches music with curiosity, intention, and a spirit of experimentation. Her practice stretches beyond songwriting into sound art, graphic scores, and immersive listening experiences.
